Our aim is to provide affordable soaring at Lasham.
Who we are
We started as the Royal Aircraft Establishment Gliding Club at Farnborough, but we now welcome anyone at Lasham who will enjoy our small-club ethos and who would like to fly without soaring charges.
What we do
We operate at Lasham four single-seaters: a club class Sport Vega, a delightful wooden K8, and a DG300 standard class glider. And for the 2025 season we introduced a fourth single-seater—an ASW20 15-metre flapped glider.
We do not charge soaring fees, just an annual membership.
Who can join?
We welcome any Lasham Gliding Society member with a Sailplane Pilots' Licence.
We also encourage our members to contribute to the running of the Club, such as lending a hand with the annual maintenance of the gliders.
